Each session we enjoy a day trip or overnight trip to some interesting place in the Southeast. These trips are planned by our Travel Committee, who selects the sites, arranges the bus travel, arranges lunch at a nearby local restaurant, and always offers a stop for such essentials as ice cream.

Some of the more popular recent trips have been to Atlanta, Brookgreen Gardens, Peace Center in Greenville, Mepkin Abbey Creche Festival, BMW factory in Spartanburg, Biltmore Estate and Lake Jocassee during the peak foliage season. Our longest trip–-so far–-was a tour of English cathedrals, which was planned and led by one of our members who had taught a class on English cathedrals and the class demanded a field trip!
